Scope of Supply:
Reversing system, Buckstays (CS/PS), Embedded parts for oven support, Fastenings, Support girder, Erection device for WPP, Cast iron bend, Heating system, Mixed gas system, Bench alley (CS/PS), Handrails and Bracing system for No.6B Battery;
Battery heating system, Longitudinal tie rods, cast iron bends etc. for No.1A Battery.
No.6B Battery was put into operation at the end of January, 2011;
No.1A Batttery was put into operation in June, 2013.
JFE Steel Corporation is one of the world largest Iron & Steel Group and is the second largest iron & steel producer in Japan; it is also one of the few car plate producers in the world. Many of JFE's technology represents the highest level of world steel industry.
No. 6B and No. 1A Battery was built in 1980s. The batteries have been used for over 30 years and rectification decision to Battery No. 6B and No.1A is made by JFE. C&G provided Bracing system, Heating system, Mixed gas system as well as Reversing system etc. for the project.
In May, 2010, during the erection of No.6B Battery, C&G visited JFE West Japan Work, Kurashiki Plant.
